The Milo pilot is an autopilot for tiller boats

Milo autopilot overview
The Milo pilot is an autopilot for tiller boats .
- It is suitable for boats with a length of less than 10 m and a weight of less than 4 tons. These values are approximate and can be reconsidered depending on the “softness” of the helm. It will be able to steer a well-balanced boat without difficulty (in case of a sailboat). Conversely, he will find it difficult to steer an over-sailed or poorly balanced boat.
- It is suitable for sailboats or fishing or leisure motor boats , provided they are equipped with a tiller.
- It operates in “compass” mode : the user sets a heading, and the pilot will keep this heading.
It consists of 2 main elements:
- The pilot actuator , which is attached to the tiller. This actuator is fitted with a closed-loop “rope” attached to both sides of the cockpit.
- The electronic control box , which will be installed inside the boat.
The Milo pilot can be disengaged : you can instantly “release” the tiller and steer the boat yourself. Conversely, you can then instantly re-engage the pilot.
Milo Pilot can be used as a “ tiller lock”: if the pilot is “off”, you can instantly use it to block the tiller, then instantly release the tiller again; this of course without electricity consumption.
